It was my first day waking up in Sapporo today. It was a beautiful day, the sun was out so I decided to take advantage of it and go exploring. My tour guide, the other girl staying at the guest house, took me to Moerenuma Park. The entire park is considered to be a sculpture. It was nice to ride around on the bike and look at God's beautiful creation.
We had ramen tonight for dinner - it was oyshi! After that we got to go to an onsen. The onsen seemed to be in a bit of a random location, next to a 7-eleven! But it was sooo nice sitting outside in a 40 degree bath! We went into the 7-eleven afterwards to get an ice-cream!
I still can't really believe I'm here, but I'm so excited to be here! Praise God for really looking after me in my travels getting here and for keeping me in good health. Pray for the other team members as they fly here from Sydney - their plane left Sydney tonight! Pray that we will learn things during our orientation (which starts in a few days) that will help us understand how to better serve the Japanese people too.
Looking forward to going to church tomorrow and seeing more sights around central Sapporo!
